Dr. Ken KOYAMA is Chief Economist and Senior Managing Director at the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ). He also takes a position of Visiting Professor at Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Tokyo and Adjunct Professor at Institute of Innovative Research at Tokyo Institute of Technology.
He was awarded the degree of: (1) B.A. in Economics in 1982 from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan; (2) M.A. in Economics in 1986 from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan; and (3) PhD in 2001 from University of Dundee, Dundee, Scotland. His specialized field of research is: energy security and geopolitics of energy; and analysis for global energy market and policy issues with emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region.
He has served as a member of energy policy related advisory councils and committees of Japanese government in many occasions. He also plays a role as: Member of the OPEC Energy Review Editorial Board, Visiting Senior Fellow at Institute for International Economic Studies, Board of Director at the Japan Electric Power Exchange and member of International Advisory Board of Rapidan Group.
He was awarded the BrandLaureate’s “Brand Personality Award 2016”, the 43th “Energy Forum Award” in 2023 and “Kashiwagi Takao GXI Award” in 2023. He was also awarded the OPEC Award for Research in July 2023.

Siti Safinah binti Salleh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Multimedia University Malaysia. She later earned a Master of Business from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, followed by a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University, United States.
She began her career in the telecommunications and digital economy sectors, having served at Telekom Malaysia Group and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). She later joined Khazanah Nasional, Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund, where she held various leadership roles in the Governance, Risk and Compliance Division as well as in strategic planning and portfolio management. Her portfolio included the implementation of sustainable investing practices and engagement with global institutional investors, regulators, and sovereign funds. She was also a board member of VCAP Asset Managers.
In February 2021, she was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of MyPOWER Corporation, a special-purpose agency under the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (now PETRA). At MyPOWER, she led the coordination and implementation of power supply industry reform initiatives in Malaysia.
She was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) effective 19 February 2025.

Mr. Asdirhyme Abdul Rasib is the Chief Executive Officer of MyPOWER Corporation, a special-purpose agency established under the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) to drive reforms in Peninsular Malaysia’s electricity supply industry. In November 2024, MyPOWER was also designated as Malaysia’s Nuclear Energy Programme Implementing Organisation (NEPIO) and tasked with coordinating the exploration of nuclear energy for electricity generation.
Prior to his appointment at MyPOWER, Mr. Asdirhyme served as Under Secretary of Sustainable Energy in PETRA from 2018 to 2025, overseeing the national sustainable energy portfolio. In this role, he was responsible for drafting policies and shaping the direction of sustainable energy development, particularly for renewable energy and energy efficiency programs. With nearly 30 years of experience in public service across multiple ministries such as Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Kuala Lumpur City Hall, Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Ministers Department, and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment.
Mr. Asdirhyme holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Masters’ in Science & Technology and Research & Development Management from Universiti Malaya.

Chris joined Type One Energy as CEO with over 30 years of global business leadership experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including clean energy technologies, power generation, oil & gas, automation and process industries. Previously, he served as CEO of General Fusion, a Canadian-based company deploying a large-scale fusion demonstration facility in the UK. He was also the Founder and CEO of Generation mPower, a company formed to develop and commercialize nuclear fission technology.
Chris has led numerous exceptional businesses including B&W Nuclear Energy, a division of The Babcock & Wilcox Company and WSI, a private equity-backed services and manufacturing company serving the global energy and petrochemical industries. After starting his career with the Philadelphia Electric Company and the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, Chris spent 10 years with GE Energy in various management roles, including President of GE Reuter-Stokes and General Manager of GE Hydro. Chris currently serves as Chairman of the global Fusion Industry Association (FIA). He earned degrees in Engineering and Astronomy from Swarthmore College and a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.

Nurlin Mohd Salleh is the Head of BCG Malaysia and a core member of the Public Sector practice at Boston Consulting Group, where she leads the practice in Malaysia. She sits on the Board of ASNB, and has deep experience working with large corporations and governments across Southeast Asia.
She has worked with multiple governments and government ministries on economic policies including on FDI, sovereign wealth funds, and economic stimulus packages. She has also worked with these clients on digital strategy and roadmap, COVID-19 budgeting, and social progress assessment.
She helped develop the 2050 vision for Malaysia, assessed and recommended on sustainability of a public national higher education fund, and supported the development of a new economic policy for a ministry in SEA. Dave is an experienced energy market operator, designer and change manager with a track record spanning South East Asia, Southern Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
He is a Director and Senior Advisor for the Lantau Group (TLG). Prior to this he was a Senior Vice President at SGX, responsible for new initiatives in the gas and power sectors and served for 10 years as the CEO of the Energy Market Company, EMC, the national electricity market operator for Singapore.
Dave has served on and chaired many industry and governance panels to further liberalise energy markets including market rules evolution, the implementation of retail contestability, developing gas trading and introducing electricity derivative products.

Didier Wiot is the Chief Executive Officer of Elia Grid International (EGI). With over two decades of leadership in the power transmission and distribution industry, Didier brings deep expertise in power system engineering, asset management, strategic advisory, and the development of innovative transmission infrastructure, including long-distance multi-terminal HVDC and offshore grids.
Throughout his career, he has held diverse technical and managerial roles — from Subject Matter Expert to Senior Manager — with leading energy companies such as Siemens, Electrabel, and Elia. His international experience spans Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, where he has collaborated with global partners to forge strategic alliances and drive sustainable growth initiatives across markets.
Before joining EGI, Didier served as Head of Technical Governance & Expertise at Elia System Operator (the Belgian TSO and part of the Elia Group). In this role, he led the lifecycle management of transmission assets and oversaw the development of key national infrastructure projects.
Didier holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and an Executive Master in General Management and Business Administration. He is an active member of the IEEE and CIGRE communities and serves on several advisory boards within the energy sector.

Aznan Ezraie Ariffin, an Electrical and Electronics Engineering PhD holder from University of Manchester, was the acting Managing Director and currently the Chief Strategy Officer at TNB Research, and the Head of the Smart City Technology Pillar in TNB. In these pivotal roles, he oversees R&D strategy, technology, commercialisation, international collaboration, and the integration of smart technology into urban development.
Aznan completed his BEng from Imperial College, London, selected MBA programs at University of Melbourne, and served as an exchange researcher at the University of California, Berkeley.
His comprehensive 26-year experience in Tenaga Nasional spans various departments, including planning, operations, research, and international business. Significant roles include his secondment as Vice President (Investments) at Khazanah Nasional’s Investment Division, serving as Special Officer (Technical) to the CEO of TNB, and being part of the pioneering team developing the Malaysian Grid Code with Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
His tenure in the Energy/Electricity sector involves crucial projects like the Grid-wide Blackout Investigation, Incentive Based Regulation trial, and developing renewable energy businesses in Tenaga Nasional. Aznan has shared his expertise through public lectures, academic talks, and peer-reviewed papers at conferences like IEEE, CIGRE, CEPSI, and IEM.

Dr. Subbu Sethuvenkatraman is a senior clean energy research leader with more than 25 years of experience driving innovation at the intersection of energy systems, digitalisation, and decarbonisation. He is a Senior Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, where he leads research initiatives focused on decarbonising the built environment and enabling consumer-side energy resources to deliver grid-scale services. He led development of a digital infrastructure for delivering energy flexibility and energy savings from buildings.
Subbu plays an active international leadership role as a subtask lead for the International Energy Agency (IEA) programme on grid-integrated control of buildings, coordinating work related to interoperability of flexible resources. He is an Honorary Professor at the University of Wollongong (Australia) and serves on editorial board for international journals. Subbu works closely with industry and government partners to translate research into deployable solutions and policy-relevant outcomes.

The depth and breadth of Jim’s background across the global energy industry brings his vision, business transformation and growth expertise, and commitment to sustainability to the Trilliant team. Prior to joining Trilliant, Jim was CCO for Viridi Parente for two years, where he led the expansion of the energy battery storage technology company focusing on operations, growth, and the leadership structure evolution.
As CEO of Franklin Energy and AM Conservation Group, 2020-2022, he led a team focused on driving energy efficiency program adoption, product distribution and distribution among utilities and other market participants through his expertise and passion for customers.
Before joining Franklin, Jim was CEO at VEIC, Chief Customer Officer at National Grid USA for seven years, and the Director of National and Government Sales and Customer Services at Hess Corporation for 2007-2010. He has also held numerous leadership roles at the General Electric Company between 1990 and 2007, where he began his professional career.
Jim served as a board member of the Alliance to Save Energy, the Brooklyn Hospital, Greener U and Vermont PBS, and currently sits as an advisory board member of Custom Essence.

Mr Ong Teng Koon serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Energy Interconnections (“SGEI”), a company appointed by the Singapore Government to develop cross-border electricity interconnectors.
Prior to his current role, Mr Ong held senior leadership positions at SP Group from 2016 to 2024, including Managing Director of SP PowerInterconnect and Head of Regulatory Management. He also has over a decade of industry experience at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, where he traded commodities in Chicago, London, Tokyo, Shanghai and Singapore.
In addition to his corporate experience, Mr Ong served as a Member of Parliament in Singapore from 2011 to 2020.
Mr Ong holds a Master’s in Finance from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics with First Class Honours from the London School of Economics.

Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Halimah Badioze Zaman is currently the Holder of the Tan Sri Leo Moggie Distinguished Chair in Energy Informatics, at the Institute of Informatics and Computing in Energy (IICE), and Founder as well as Advisor of the National Energy Centre (NEC), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). She was the longest serving independent Director of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), from 2019 through 2025. Prior to this, she has served in various capacities and roles for four decades at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She worked very closely with the Government and Industry, both nationally and globally.
She is a fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM). She has won many accolades for her research at many research exhibitions and conventions nationally an internationally. She was awarded as one of the Most Inspiring Icons in Asia by AirAsia Academy amongst many renowned individuals. Most recently, she was awarded the Kesatria Malaysia by the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), Ministry of Tourism Malaysia.
Over those years she has had tremendous experience in organising national and international symposiums, conferences, and congresses in the field of Computer Science, Visual Informatics and Energy Informatics. She is currently the advisor to one of the renowned research universities to spearhead together with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) on the establishment of the National AI Centre (NAIC). She is also currently involved in a national impact project called the National Address System (NAS) spearheaded by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) as the Lead Consultant and Advisor of the Project.

As the Managing Director of ROSERGY Consulting, Rosman Hamzah brings over 30 years of robust experience in the energy sector, encompassing the entire life cycle of energy projects, from policy formulation and business development to engineering, project management, and service delivery,
He previously served as the Secretary General of the Malaysian Gas Association (MGA) where he proactively advocated natural gas and contributed towards the advancement of the industry. He participated in several national committees on drafting various policies concerning the energy sector. Rosman’s significant impact to the gas industry was acknowledged with the ASEAN Energy Award for Individual Excellence in 2023.
Rosman’s extensive background includes over two decades with leading multinational technology companies, providing him with a deep understanding of power generation technologies, spanning both conventional fossil fuel and renewable resources.
He has actively participated as both speaker and moderator at numerous conferences, contributing to the discourse on energy matters in Malaysia and abroad.

Dato’ Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib Bin Dawood graduated with a BTEC National Diploma in Engineering in 1991 from the Coventry Technical College followed by an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom in 1994. He was then awarded his Master of Science in Power Electronic Engineering from the University of Manitoba in Canada in 1996.
Dato’ Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib Bin Dawood started his early career with Tenaga Nasional Berhad Engineers Sdn. Bhd., and has more than 30 years of professional experience, having worked for both Malaysian and Australian national power utilities, independent power producers, TNSP and as a consultant for renewable energy. During his career highlights, he had held many roles such as a construction engineer, project manager, technical advisor, systems planning engineer and a power system study specialist.
From October 2012 to August 2017, he was the Head of Electricity Market Operations with the Energy Commission before assigned by the Prime Minister’s Department to be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Malaysia Nuclear Power Corporation from 2017 to 2018. On 9 April 2018, he was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Energy Commission. On 2 April 2019, he was appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer responsible for the overall administration and management of the functions of the Energy Commission. He subsequently became the Chief Operating Officer on 2018, and Acting CEO at the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) of Malaysia, before being appointed as the CEO in August 2019.
Dato’ Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib Bin Dawood was officially appointed as the new Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) on 1 February 2025.

SK is a seasoned leader in energy, sustainability, and ESG advisory. He currently serves as a Council Member of Climate Governance Malaysia and advisor to Carbon GPT, continuing his passion in advancing low-carbon economy and energy transition. Until September 2025, he was ERM’s Country Managing Partner for Malaysia and Brunei, where he guided clients on ESG, climate adaptation and decarbonisation strategies, and led a team of >70 consultants.
His career began in 1991 as a financial auditor at Arthur Andersen before joining Shell Malaysia, where he spent 24 years in finance, commercial, and leadership roles across Bangkok, London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Houston. He led LNG and business development in Malaysia, sat on multiple boards, and served as Vice President of the Malaysia Gas Association. In the US, he became General Manager of LNG Americas, President of Shell US Gas & Power, and a board member of the Centre of LNG.
After leaving Shell in 2015, SK held senior roles at Bumi Armada, GLX Digital, and his own consultancy before joining ERM in 2022. Post-retirement, he remains active in sustainability through advisory and mentorship. With global experience across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, SK is defined by his passion for sustainability, inclusive culture, mentoring, and business transformation.

Dr. Yonghee Kim is currently a professor at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Korea. He received his M.Sc and Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering from KAIST in 1990 and 1995, respectively. His research interests include advanced reactor concepts and development of nuclear reactor analysis methods. He has extensive research and management experiences in the area of advanced reactors and reactor physics. He is a member of KNS (Korean Nuclear Society), ANS (American Nuclear Society), and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). From 2013 to 2018 and from 2020 to 2022, he served as a member of advisory committee for NSSC (national safety and security commission) of Korea. He is an editorial member of NET (Nuclear Engineering and Technology) and an Executive Editor of ‘Progress in Nuclear Engineering’. He was director of a research center for autonomous SMR (CASMRR) at KAIST from 2016 to 2022. From 2017 to 2020, he served as the chair of the Reactor Physics Division of KNS. He is currently in charge of ‘Future Institute of National Strategic Technology and Policy at KAIST.

Danial is CEO of Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI), a 33-year-old Malaysian think-tank owned and governed by the non-profit Jeffrey Cheah Foundation. ASLI’s works are at the forefront of leadership and talent development, research advocacy, and strategic advisory for the public and private sectors.
Danial’s professional experience has traversed law, policy, education, and technology. A former press secretary at the Ministries of Education, Higher Education and Finance, he was also Head of Growth of an Australian edu-tech company, contributing successfully to its IPO on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
Danial is a columnist for TheStar newspaper and part-time TV host for “The Nation: Diplomatic Dispatch”, a current-affairs show on BERNAMA (Malaysian National News Agency).
