Prior to becoming CEO of Vantage RE Limited, Vian was an independent consultant providing advice and support to several global blue-chip companies and consultancies on market entry and technology strategy. He is an expert in the field of Renewable Energy. He was previously the Senior Director for Renewable Energy at CLP Holdings Limited, one of the largest investor-owned power businesses in Asia Pacific. In this role, he was responsible for leading the development and delivery of CLP’s Renewable Energy strategy across China, India, Southeast Asia and Australia. Before joining CLP, Vian held various Senior Executive roles for the major German Utilities of E.ON and Uniper, based in Dusseldorf, Germany. He was a member of the Management Board of Uniper UK with legal responsibility for managing the Group’s generation asset portfolio and prior to that, a member of the Management Board for E.ON Climate and Renewables UK. Vian holds a Masters Degree in Engineering and a Masters Degree in Strategic Management, is a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and a Chartered Engineer. He has over 30 years of global experience in working across the technologies of Transmission, Distribution and Conventional Generation, with the last 22 years dedicated to Renewable Energy​
