A solution builder and thought partner for systemic organisational problems, with over 30 years’ experience in management consulting (Korn Ferry, PiP, McKinsey & Co) and executive and board management (Maxis, DiGi, Telstra, EPay). Tom has worked extensively across many industries including Oil & Gas, Electricity, Telecoms, Manufacturing, Transport, Construction, HORECA, and Mining. He has also worked in many different regions and work cultures, including Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Australia/NZ. He has been based in SE Asia since 2005, initially managing mobile telcos in Malaysia, and then building up an Organisation Effectiveness consulting business across the Region. The primary focus for him and his team today is to assist large corporate clients in ASEAN achieve stepchange transformational improvements in their operating performance via optimising their operating models, organisations, and ways of working. Of late, this has increasingly included building and incorporating sustainability into a company’s core business and capability development strategies, not just to meet compliance targets but ultimately to become a source of competitive advantage. Tom’s passion is not just to design organisational solutions, but to ensure they have been implemented sustainably to effect lasting behaviour change.
Tom holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University. He is also accredited by the Malaysian Institute of Company Directors.
