Nurlin is a Managing Director & Partner in the BCG Kuala Lumpur office. She has deep experience working with large corporations and governments across South East Asia.

Nurlin is a Core member of the Public Sector practice and actively co-leads BCG’s Malaysian Public Sector Practice.

Relevant BCG experience:

  • Supported government agency in Strategic Workforce Planning efforts 
  • Supported the development of a new economic policy for a ministry in SEA
  • Developed new investment policies to accelerate FDI for a ministry in SEA
  • Reviewed & redefined Sovereign Wealth Funds and Pension Funds mandate and setup for an agency of a Southeast Asian government
  • Supported the development of economic stimulus packages and the national budget for Malaysia during the Covid-19 pandemic
  • Supported the culture development efforts for a merger of telco companies in SEA
  • Developed a gas petroleum masterplan for the state of Sarawak
  • Supported the development of a climate change report for a government agency
  • Mananged end-to-to restructuring, re-organization & HR strategy for a vertically integrated national power utility in South East-Asia
  • Defined digital strategy and roadmap for the digital and technology transformation programme of a national government 
  • Developed a green-field digital bank for an investment bank
  • Supported development of the 2050 vision for Malaysia 
  • Supported the development of Malaysia’s national labor productivity blueprint
  • Supported the development of a social progress assessment as an enabler of payment-by-results model for the social finance ministry 
  • Supported deep dive to deliver on a Ministry transformation focusing on re-organisationchange management, strategic human capital management, procurement and IT 
  • Assessed and recommended on sustainability of a public national higher education fund
  • Conducted a study to assess current context and strategic importance of domestic iron and steel industry in Asia / ASEAN for a government in a South-East Asia country
  • Developed concept and master plan for an industrial development hub for a state govt
