Nur Ayuni is the Principal Assistant Director for petroleum at Energy Division, Ministry of Economy. Her portfolio includes policy formulation on energy with a focus on petroleum, energy transition, oil and gas services, and development projects aimed at promoting the development of the national oil and gas industry.
She joined the public service in 2005 and was assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she worked on environment, energy, United Nations, policy and strategy, as well as a diplomatic stint at the Malaysia High Commission in New Zealand. After completing her Master’s degree, she served in various agencies within the Prime Minister’s Department on human capital development planning and strategy, cabinet, governance, policy, strategic planning, equity and socioeconomic development.
She graduated with a Bsc in Molecular Biology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and obtained her Master’s degree in Public Management from the National University of Singapore. In her free time, she writes fiction and non-fiction. Some of her letters on a range of issues have been published in local newspapers. She hopes that her writings will give voice to the plight on issues affecting the common people.
