Espen Hauge served 3 years as President of the World Electric Vehicle Association, 6 years as President of AVERE – the European Association for Electromobility, and 10 years as Chairman of the Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association. He has been engaged on the EV scene for two decades.
Under his leadership the Norwegian Association grew exponentially to take a lead position globally, AVERE membership quadrupled, and the Electric Vehicle Symposium has grown to host more than 10 000 participants at EVS35 in Oslo, after successful EVS editions in Stuttgart 2017 and Lyon 2019.
Espen was key to the World Electric Vehicle Journal becoming the leading scientific journal for electric vehicles.
His career also includes project management, engineering, R&D, with leadership experience from the oil and energy industry, from construction – including the recent start of the electric construction era. He worked for global companies such as ABB and GE, as well as for the City of Oslo.
