Dato’ Kamarul Redzuan Bin Muhamed is the Group CEO and Managing Director of Uzma Berhad. Currently, Dato’ Kamarul is pursuing his Master of Science in Geological Oceanography at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, United States of America (“USA”).

In addition to his role at Uzma, Dato’ Kamarul actively participates as a member of various advisory panels, such as the Research Advisory Council for Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (“UTP”), the Industry Advisory Panel for Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (“MPRC”), the Industry Advisory Panel for Asia Pacific University (“APU”) of Technology & Innovation, and the Industry Advisory Panel for Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (“UMT”).

With nearly 30 years of experience, Dato’ Kamarul began his career as a Reservoir Engineer in the USA before returning to Malaysia to join Esso Production Malaysia Inc. as a Facilities Engineer. After that, he served as a Business Development Manager for the Asian Region at Smedvig Technologies Sdn. Bhd., which led him to Roxar Sdn. Bhd. where he worked as a Regional Managing Director, before establishing Uzma in 2000.

Being a hands-on Group CEO, Dato’ Kamarul remains actively involved in strategizing, governing, and ensuring effective execution by his key management team to drive Uzma to new heights. Presently, Uzma is among the leading energy and technology companies in Malaysia, with operational offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
